The braised meat rice bowl was delicious but a tad oily which is how braised meats are supposed to be. It goes super well with rice and there are different sizes of bowl to choose from. The thickened pork soup was delicious too. We finished every bite of our meal here.
The braised pork rice here is amazing. Everything here is amazing. This hole in the wall restaurant is super popular with the locals, and for good reason. The food is super flavorful and very well prepared. They're best known for their braised pork over rice. However, their pineapple and bitter melon chicken soup is also top-notch. I'd also highly recommend the strewed duck egg, bamboo shoots, and mee fun noodles.nnOur entire meal for two people was just $13 USD!nnBe prepared to wait a little bit, as there aren't that many tables and this place is very popular.
Fatty style 滷肉飯, served with some nice pickles. Good to enjoy with some side dishes and soup. The soup came in tiny bowl, but quite rich. The flavor of bitter gourd pineapple chicken soup was more on the bitter side.
Grew up eating this and glad to see the flavour and quality is still the same.
Long queue, but short waiting time. It is quite an oily dish but I love how the rice and pork is so flavourful and fragrant. Would be back again.
