Chateau De Chine

Booked the reservation from the official website of this hostel a couple month ago. And be told that reservation comes with Happy Hour, and it took me by surprise. Seems like booked from the official website is a great choice for the customers. I do really enjoy staying here, the staffs in the front desk are kind and really care for the rights of the guests.

The rooms are a little dated. The swimming pool is good for children. Breakfast is alright. Friendly service. Nice location, close to a supermarket and 7-Eleven, about a kilometer from city center.

We lived great !! but some problem could be improved, like Night buffet, cake should add the cover to protect the fresh and soft. and increased the food delicate !! Hope this hotel can be betteruff01uff01

The room is small and cozy. However, we expect for a stay with facilities, and the sauna is closed without notifications, no apology and no compensation made. The counter person are reluctant to assist.nnDespite it’s general good vibe as a family-hotel, its communication with the customers doesn’t meet the standard of a four-star.

We chose this hotel because we thought it would be kid friendly. The hotel does have a pool and a nice play area on the 3rd floor, which our kids enjoyed. However, on the last night of our stay, a tour group brought in tons of smoking tourists, which made the entire 5th floor (where we stayed at) and 6th floor (where our friends stayed at) smell like a low class pool hall. The hotel did send staff to tell them to stop smoking but was unwilling to impose a fine, so the smoking continued through the next morning. Smoking at hotels is banned in Taiwan, so the hotel had every single right to enforce non-smoking policy by imposing a fine and getting them to stop. Apparently the hotel places more value on getting returned business from these smokers than making sure that the hotel and its rooms stay smoke free. I have no desire to stay at this hotel again until there's a change in management team or management philosophy.
