Farglory Hotel Hualien

Nice hotel (spacious) with unique Victorian style interior design. The walk on site with all the pretty lights and the green house were our favorite. The sea view is beautiful and the staff is very helpful. The Ocean Park near the hotel is a bonus and it's so convenient to get to with the shuttle service. The only improvement that we wish to see is the food. As there are no restaurants (or any shop) around, It would be better if there were more gourmet food and more selections of food during the off-meal hours in the hotel. We had to eat the same afternoon tea set two days in a row because that was the only option. But it was overall a pleasant stay!

I really liked this place until I tried to eat dinner on the second night. Apparently the capacity of both restaurants is not high enough to accommodate all of the people that stay at the hotel. There will always be a certain number of people who have to somehow find a way to eat outside, and it is a considerable drive away. Plus, dinner at 5:30 PM? Seriously? My advice: Book dinner the moment you check in, or you'll be sorry later!

Wow! We really enjoyed our stay in the ocean view deluxe double room. Everything from entertainment, to food and the customer service really lived up to its name. I’d be crazy not to recommend this place!

Amazing views of the mountains and sea. Really a great relaxing place to stay and the kids love the indoor and outdoor pools.nnThe other kids play areas could use some love but I guess not everyone has kids.nnOne gripe about the room we had on the north wing 1st floor: the p-traps are nonexistent or get emptied real quick so sewer smell is pretty strong in the bathroom at night from the bath drains.nnPro tips:nFor breakfast goto the 1st floor English breakfast area, not the 2nd main lobby floor ballroom breakfast area. They aren’t 100% the same, and the view is much better on the first floor where the actual restaurant is.nnIf you decide to eat lunch or dinner at 3 of the 4 restaurants in the hotel (not the sports bar one), reserve your spot early, they get taken quick leaving you with bad eating times.nnIf you plan on going to the ocean park and are staying here, buy your pass from the hotel, it’s good for 2 days straight as opposed to just one day. And if it’s your birthday month, it’s free!

One of the most comfortable resorts in east coast with nice view, delicious food and gorgeous services. Better for family trip!
