Hualien Ji-An Shrine

Though this place reminds me of my beloved Japan a bit, but overall it doesn’t keep the real essence of Japanese spirit. Would have been great if all the details and aesthetics could be leveled up.

I did not know Taiwan has this type of Japanese shrine. The scale is a bit small. Should be nice when there are less tourists.

If you are interested in Japanese culture then this is the place for you. Very busy. Quite nice.

Qianxiu Yuan, Ji'an, Courtyard [吉安慶修院], HuanLien City, is developed or revived from a former Japanese temple which was worshipped by Japanese during Japan's occupation of Taiwan.nnOne of the best parts or the beauty of the Temple is the imitation stone sculptures of the main worship deities of major Japanese temples.nnThe Temple is small but it has many visitors; thus, it can be noisy sometimes when young kids are running in the courtyard. However, it is well maintained and clean.

The shrine is historic and maintained well. Beautiful and filled with lots of valuable history photos.
