Le Rouge

Exactly what we were looking for after an early rise and long commute from Taipei. We ordered the Smoking Gun and Apple Chutney burgers, and both preferred the latter for its wider variety of flavor (the Smoking Gun was still great, but a bit one-note for our tastes). Also appreciated the Ginger Ale, which can sometimes be an elusive beverage in Taiwan ud83dude0a.nnHonestly, if you're looking for a nice spot in Taichung for Western food without putting a dent in your wallet, this is it. Restaurant was clean and the staff was super friendly. Can't wait to go back and explore the rest of the menu when we get the chance!

Walked into this place because of the charms but have to say that the food outshone even the handsome red brick façade. The beef in the burger was smoky & juicy and fries crispy. The bone-In pork chop accented with caramelized apple chutney & whole gloves of oven roasted garlics was perfectly grilled to seal the moisture & flavor in, so tender, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Great service to boot! The menu is quite extensive but I know I shall return whenever I have a craving for good burger & fries.

Wow this place is the best. Got there close to 10 pm on a Friday, and we were the only people there. The waitstaff treated us like VIPs, even though we were just dressed like scrubs. The food and drinks were delicious and the atmosphere is absolutely great. The kind of place that makes me wish I lived in Taichung. Will definitely go back next time I'm in town.

Best burgers in Taiwan! The entire staff is amazing. Our toddler LOVES the food which is impressive in itself because she is normally picky. We love going to Le Rouge!
