Plaza is Taichung’s other principal gay bar and a very different beast from the other one (first floor bar). It is a lounge bar with plenty of good soft seating and a stage for KTV. It has an underground bunker feel but one which has been well furnished.nnOn the weekends it is busy and you may need to reserve. Occasionally special events with gogo boys and other gay themed entertainment is put on. Especially for new year.nnPlaza is extremely welcoming with an older clientele although younger people also turn up in significant number on weekends and the staff are very jolly. As with all the gay bars in Taichung the cocktails are basic to the extreme and beer is the principal drink available.nnOverall a good place to spend a Saturday and make friends.
