A great place to try traditional Taiwanese food and tea. We arrived in the afternoon on a Sunday without a reservation. It was quite busy but the staff was very friendly though and asked us to wait a little bit so that they could arrange a table for us. I ordered the smoked duck set which was really nice. The tea set was a little complicated but fun to try. Nice calm atmosphere.

Can’t disagree about the facts the the view is beautiful and the taste of tea is pretty good.nHowever, these are the only strengths I could think of.nNot only are the snacks overpriced, their tastes are...... just say terrible. Some too oily, some have no taste at all, not to mention that they take forever to come (the tea house technically only gives us 20 minutes to finish the tea AND the snacks).nThe quality of the waiters also differs dramatically. There is a nice guy who teaches us patiently about how to manage the tea, but there are also others who ignore our polite requests again and again.nI have never felt like writing a hate comment of some sort, but I really have to make my experience public so that there are less victims to this place.

Wonderful, relaxing tea house with koi swimming about and turtles resting on rocks. The food and tea are very good, and the atmosphere is authentic tea house.

What a neat place to visit and have tea and lunch! The server demonstrated how to properly make tea and then we were able to do it on our own. We got the tea set for two which came with a delicious Alishan oolong tea. We also got two set lunches of salmon and mackerel. Both were absolutely delicious. This sprawling tea house has several semi private tatami rooms in a beautiful garden setting. The front desk staff even offered to call us a cab and made sure the driver knew where we were headed. Staff speaks limited english but the menu has english subtitles.

I had a terrible experience at this place. Their services are slow, ingenuine, and down right disrespectful. I have never felt so mad when dealing with the waiters. My table had kindly asked their staff members multiple times that we need some assistance with pourong the tea, as well as ordering our meals. Yet their responses made us feel super insignificant. Moreover, their meal is super expensive for the portion they are offering, and the taste is blend and unappetizing. I would never recommend anyone to visit this place. I went there with a open mind and left feeling exhausted and disappointed.
