雙城美式餐廳 (Uptowner)

My daughter had the kid’s grilled cheese sandwich today. She said it was the best she’s ever had, so good she wanted to write a review. Here are her words:nThe grilled cheese sandwich was delicious, filled with yummy cheese which melted into my mouth immediately. The bread was perfectly toasted which made it soft and crunchy at the same time. But the fries that came with it were a little bit soggy and not as good. I would come back here and order the sandwich again!

I have been here a couple of times. The service was wonderful, and the food was quite good. I had a Reuben Sandwich the first time, and it was excellent. They also were able to give me ranch dressing for my fries, which I really appreciated. I also had their Thanksgiving turkey meal. Also good.

Still some of the best breakfast and western food around.

Hands down one of the best American restaurants in Taiwan! Came down from Taipei for a business trip and heard this place was really authentic. Well, it definitely met if not exceed my expectations.nnI ordered the Swiss and mushroom burger with fries, and French toast with strawberries. My wife ordered a Mexican omelet with hash brown.nnThe burger was the only slightly disappointing part, but it honestly has to do with the lack of quality grass fed beef in Taiwan. Also was a little overcooked for my liking. Other than that, everything else was amazing.nnThe fries were absolutely to die for! Definitely best fries on the island. Not sure, but it tastes like they cook the fries in beef tallow which makes it taste so good.nnFrench toast, Omelet, and hash browns were also super tasty.nnDefinitely will visit again next time I’m in Taichung!

Good food. Very inattentive wait staff. Only three tables eating, but they never checked in after food arrived. Had to go to the counter to ask for coffee refills. Also, they don't stop people smoking at the tables, which really diminished the enjoyment of the food.
