Shuangliu National Forest Recreation Area

Located at the southern corner of the island. You can climb up the mountain on the right hand side of the park and the view there was spectacular on sunny days. You can find green island on a fine day on the east if you use a telescope. The park got its name because of the two waterfalls at the end of the trail. My advice is you can try climbing up the Hat mountain first and come back for an easy walk to the waterfalls.

The forest park is very good.Though the sun was very passion, I felt cool.The mountain pathway follows the river that you can hear the water voice and the tree shade made you feel comfortable.Most of all we can play in the water by the river. It is cool.

Short, easy walk (4km there and back) that is suitable for all ages. Can't get down to the waterfall from the path so minus a star.

The trail to the waterfall is longer than 3km, so the round trip will take you more than 2 hours. There are two restareas along the way. The first one has a drink fountain and a public restroom. The second one has a temporary restroom only. Don't be fooled by the riverside trail cuz after passing the second restarea the trail becomes steppy. The last 1 km can be quite challenging (many stairs). I wish the guide map can provide more detailed and accurate information.
