Cute place to learn more about tea, and also to buy some high quality oolong tea. Just be warned the walk from the gondola is a bit far, so make sure to make time for this

This was an interesting place. I learned about different types of tea & was able to taste 2 different types . We were taught the proper way to prepare loose leaf tea. We also saw the different equipment used to make tea . What I saw & learned in that small museum made me appreciate tea more.

I wanted to learn what Taiwanese tea is like and thought this would be the best place. The exhibition room was much smaller than I had imagined, but you will see actual facilities outdoor. The area itself is also very nice and calm and worth visiting, but the only problem is that it often rains and you need to be lucky to fully enjoy your visit.

An interesting place to visit when you get to the top of the Maokong Gondola. Evidently local tea plantation and restaurant owner's staff the Tea Promotion Center's tasting area, so you can sample tea at the hands of a very experienced person. Our host was very friendly and we subsequently had a nice meal at his restaurant. You can either catch the bus across the street from the Gondola Station (it accepts Easycard) or walk (we bused up and walked back).
Similar place
