Jack Hall Green Island Bed and Breakfast

The island itself is wonderful and beautiful with walk in snorkeling in three locations. But I felt this place was a bit off. I am not completely sure what kind of place it is to be honest. If you stay here be sure to bring cash. They informed us we needed to pay in cash only after staying there for three days already, and we where leaving the next morning. It made me worry about the possibility of getting stuck. And while that is probably not a likelihood, I was under the impression that we would be able to pay with the card I booked with. But to my surprise that was not the case. Fortunately the only ATM in town accepted my Union Pay card from mainland China. Also, just about every night we where woken by loud noises coming from, well I’m not sure where. The pipes, the ceiling the room next door, all seemed to be full of people that where well, having a good time I guess. And sure bet between three and five AM someone would be stomping, hollering or giggling loud enough to wake me. Also for the money I payed for the place I was hoping for at least fresh towels everyday, something I did not get.

Ripped off for $1200 for motor scooter rental. Our friends all rented scooters for $250/day, we got charged $400/day with the hotel keeping the extra. 8 days rental is $1200 wasted. Was nieve enough to think that they were just being hospitable when they offered to take me to a motor scooter rental place, didn't think I would be ripped off as they seemed so friendly. Only stayed there one night but stuck with the scooter. Apart from that , rooms all have a problem with ants, and they won't let you park on their driveway even after profiting from your scooter rental. There are much nicer places nearby in the same price range, so recommend shopping around for a more honest establishment.

Room is so cozy which is a great ocean view and staffs are really kind. Do not worry about everything. Staffs will actively help. Highly recommended!

Really lovely place to stay. Jack was very helpful with getting information for us about diving, hiring a scooter etc. He picked us up from the harbour when we arrived. Room was very clean and spacious. Great little outdoor grass area for little ones to play out on. A very enjoyable stay!

Visited back in 2013. Jack was a wonderful host. He speaks some english too so if your Mandarin isn't the greatest Jack will take care of you. Hotel is nice and staff are very helpful.
