知本林道瀑布 Zhiben Forest Road Waterfall

A very nice scenery place to go! We drove there by a SUV and the waterfall is just near the road side, very easy to find if you are on the right path. Road is narrow so must be careful when you are driving, may need to be careful when vehicle is driving from the opposite. Luckily, there is no people and vehicle are there when we arrived. Water is clear and you can enjoy the nature here as well. It is the must go secret place when you visit 知本.

Slows to a trickle during the dry winter season but still worth a hike up. Great views of the mountains and coast on the Zhiben Trail. Trail is paved, but narrow so driving is not recommended.

I got there quite early in the morning and loved the fact there were no other people around. I'd recommend to go there by a scooter or by a bike as the road is narrow and I can imagine scenarios where more than one car will want to push through.

There is no need to travel around Taitung.nThere are waterfalls, forest trees, animals (Mountain Qiang, mountain boar, monkey, gray-throated mountain pepper, five-color bird, red-billed black bulbul, golden snake, hundred step snake, green bamboo silk---)nA great place to hike into the mountains.
