At present, most of Zhuzishan is a military control zone, and ordinary people cannot enter it. It is the highest mountain above 1,000 meters in the northernmost tip of Taiwan.
Beautiful, you can see the sea
Rare green grassy mountain scenery, but also overlooking the small oil pits, Qixing Mountain and Datun Mountain scenery, the terrain is high, there are often clouds and mist around in the afternoon, thousands of weather, highly recommended
Zhuzishan belongs to a group of the Datun volcanic group in northern Taiwan. It erupted about 800,000 years ago and ceased activity about 500,000 years ago. The Zhuzishan lava flow is distributed in a very large area. It is the largest volcano in the Datun Volcano Group, covering most of the Jinshan District, Shimen District and Sanzhi District of New Taipei City, even as far as Fuguijiao and Linshanbei. The highest peak of Zhuzishan Mountain is 1103 meters above sea level. The base rock of the whole mountain range is bisgamma andesite, with steep ridges and no obvious eruptions. At present, most of Zhuzishan is a military control zone, and ordinary people cannot enter it.
Bamboo Mountain, about 1103 meters high, erupted about seven or eight hundred thousand years ago to form a volcano, because the mountain is densely covered with bamboo, so it got its name. Located in the northernmost part of the Datun volcanic group, it is the largest lava area in the volcanic group, but it has no volcanic cone shape and no obvious crater. Because the top of the mountain is a military location for the Air Force radar due to its topography and geographical location, it is generally inaccessible to tourists.
