This is definitely a museum I’ll go back again. Love the sculptures, war weapons, n automatic music machine show. I looked up the weapons n some music organs on YouTube to see how they worked later at home. With the tour guide, I enjoyed the museum even better. A whole day isn’t enough at all, plus the special exhibition. The guides were professional n friendly; they couldn’t explain every work of the collections due to the time limit, but they do open a window to the collections n I wanna know them all. Kids can understand the guides easily, if they aren’t too tired in the afternoon, haha. The walk outside the museum is enjoyable too. Winter sun is great.

Definitely worth visiting. For the price of the ticket and what we get in the museum, it’s definitely not something you come across easily not just in Taiwan but in Asia. For these collections, well maintained infrastructure and clear information provided in the directory of each section. If you’re not interested in the museum and collection, you may stroll at their garden and take pictures too. The whole place looks like Medieval Europe scenery, pavements, bridge, fountain, lake, flowers etc. A good place for picnic or spending your weekend with family just chilling.

Simply nice time, I visited the Chimei museum with my family. We went in the period of the Christmas markets. The weather was perfect, light years away from the idyllic, snowy Hollywood movie, it was more suited to beach holidays.nAs always, this type of event attracts thousands of visitors, so much so that when we arrived at the parking lot it was already ninety-nine percent full. In any case, the car park is large and there is parking for everyone.nInside, the gardens are well-kept and well-kept, suggestive statues sprout here and there and the avenues are clean, the location is very suitable and safe for children.nStands have been set up here in the gardens and avenues of the Chimei museum on the occasion of the Christmas markets on 12 and 13 December and 19 and 20 December. From typical Taiwanese food to well-known foreign dishes such as pizza, ice cream and sandwiches, but also leather goods, outdoors and various gadgets. Inevitable soap bubbles that entertain young and old. Obviously, Santa Claus and the inevitable queue for the photo on his lap cannot be missing.n300 NT$ is the price you must pay to spend an amazing day at Chimei museum during Christmas days.

A bit pricey but I think it’s worth the money! It’s quite a trip from the city though. If you love taking pictures, you must go.nTook the taxi to get to this museum which was quite nice.nThis museum is huge! Lots of artistic stuff.

The best museum in Taiwan! The Chimei museum is the best private museum in Taiwan. The museum focuses on the collection of Western art, musical instruments, weapons, and natural history. The museum has the largest collection of violins in the world. It also has the most complete collection of Western paintings and sculptures in Taiwan. The Chimei museum is well operated and both its environment and service are the top tier quality.
