A big plus for location, a rooftop common area and open spaces and parks in the immediate surrounding. For older adults, climbing stairs will be a challenge as no elevated in old building, very nostalgic if you are a fan. Best for younger travellers.

Pros: near MRT station, cheap room rate Cons: 1. They store fire escape equipment in the shower room, they don’t concern about the safety of guests. 2. Small baggage locker. 3. They only accept cash.

Great place to stay and experience the life in Taipei, the view from the rooftop balcony is amazing and the staffs are kind👏🏼 you can get lots of good travel advices from them!

I didn't have any idea when I booked this place. I like surprise and this place surprised me. It is located at a very convenient place. The staff, all are very kind and do the best for you. The room and the bathroom are clean and the club house on the roof top is very nice. You can see the nice view and enjoy the time alone or with friends. There are plenty things to see and do near this hostel. You can learn so much about the community as well!

There are certain things that don't lose their charm no matter how much it may be repeated...a cup of tea, a riverbank, a postcard in the mail--here we have a twinkling rooftop with ample seating by the train tracks. I can't say I made new friends here, or explored much of the surrounding area, but only because I happened to get caught up elsewhere. I appreciated each night of quiet sweetness coming home. I found the keycard system to be very easy to get used to, I loved having a locker right in my bed area, and the staff were really helpful when I ended up having to arrive past midnight. I wish the breakfast was a little more interesting, but for the cost of stay it really is astonishing that one can have free breakfast to begin with.
