Pier 2 Art District, DaYi C9 Warehouse

This is far better than the spot listed as Pier 2 on maps. This is a great collection of artsy shops with handmade products. The place further to the northwest is smaller and more commercial.

This art center is similar to Hakodate(函館) of Japan Hokkaido. It nears port with old fashion storage houses and many modern arts and cafes. It definitely worth a whole morning to stay, plus you can take light rail to tour around ports and beaches.

Great area to walk around in, lots of relaxed art shops, galleries, plant store, book store, and cafes~ even a gelato store! Lovely photo opportunities in every corner, from plant covered walls to textured brick backgrounds and great place to catch the Kaohsiung southern sunset ~ nice atmosphere!

This is an area with old warehouses converted into arts and crafts shops. There are other similar locations around the vicinity so good for a walk along the pier to explore more places.
