The top of Hongdan Mountain, the highest mountain in Ren’ai District, offers an incredible viewpoint of all Keelung city and its coastline. The hike to the top is steep but well paved and with several places to sit and recover when the stamina is going low. On the way to the top people can enjoy the local nature with plenty of butterflies and birds all over the area.

Decent hike. Pretty good view of Keelung and Taipei. Entire path was paved so it's easy for children.
