朗舍行館 Petrichor Hotel

We had such a good experience at this hotel! The staff was so friendly, there were lots of great details (like the heated toilet seats) and it just made our trip to Taichung that much better. Every single staff we met was helpful, respectful and ready to make our stay better.nnTo add, the location was ideal. We were walking distance from a lot of tourist attractions and the area was great for walking around and finding everything you need.nnWe would definitely stay here again!

Nice and clean boutique hotel. It's not too far from the railway station (about 10 to 15 minute walk. There are separate face wash sink, toilet, shower and bath tub facilities. There is no dresser draw or closet to hang any clothes or jackets. There is a small travel hair dryer already in the room, so no need to contact front desk for it. Room card needed to use elevator and front door access (after hours).

High-quality-room with reasonable price, located in the center of old town area, surrounded by traditional market and relaxing river, in a word, give it a try.

I stayed here for 3 nights in November 2019. The only hotel in Taiwan that helped me to open the door. The staffs were very nice and helpful. They would great you every time you met them. I liked my room a lot, it was sparkling clean with separated toilet. The con was the breakfast, expensive and bland. Don’t pay for breakfast. Oh on my last day, my friend left her hat in the room. Luckily i went back for toilet, and the front desk told me. Thank you so much!

Stay in one of the Penthouse unit last December and find it enjoyable and comfortable stay for my family, despite a few hiccups. When we first entered the room, bathroom was leaking water. Then the water leakage got worse. But the staffs were very quick to respond by putting lots of towels to absorb the water. Second day, the staffs offered to move us to another room because major repair work needs to be done. Second room, found the toilet air ventilation had cigarette smoke smell even though it is a smoke free hotel. Other guests were smoking I think. The staffs were quick to lend us the air purifier to resolve this. To summarize:nPros:n- excellent staff servicen- room has cute soft toys on tatami which they customize... very adorable :)n- comfortable room and bedsnCons:n- Penthouse unit room 605 is not very safe for children 1-2yo in my opinion. The gaps between the stairs and partition on level 2 has gaps large enough for children to squeeze through and fell accidentally. I had feedbacked to the hotel. Our second room 601 is more safe for little children as the partition gaps on level 2 are way smaller. I feel the hotel should put in more thoughts for family with little children choosing the penthouse option.n- breakfast food can be improved with more varietynnAll in all, we enjoy the stay and will visit them again in future :)
