1969 Blue Sky Hotel

Modern hotel in Taichung. The downside is it’s not easy to park near the hotel and the instructions for parking is not clear for English speakers. (To be fair, probably not many people driving here) The location is good though, easy to walk or go to some popular tourist spots by public transportation.

Everything as described. Service is great. Spot is convenient to travel around the city side. But be mindful of bed bug. I got some bites during the stay.

Staff was helpful, cheerful and energetic. The hotel and the room, including the decorations are cozy and stylish. For a small hotel, the quality of the buffet breakfast is excellent. One blemish. Our room for two has a strange shower area configuration. A concrete part of a wall cuts into the shower area, occupying about 1/3 of the shower area. This makes taking shower a bit awkward as you need to be careful or else could hit yourself at the concrete wall when you move around. Besides, the shower jet could be stronger. Nonetheless, I strongly recommend this hotel for its overall quality and convenient location, which is within walking distance of the train station, bus stops of many routes to other parts of the city and many good restaurants.

Overall it's great! Bed is not too soft and comfortable. Breakfast is not bad. Staff are friendly.nThe only problem is the room cleaning service is not thoroughly. There are some dust under the chair and refrigerate. There are also a little mold in shower room. Its all fine when the hotel is still new, but it maybe worse after a few more years if they keep missing those spots.nI love this hotel. Hope they can do better job on maintainence.
