SOF Hotel - 植光花園酒店

I had a very nice experience with stay one night here. This hotel is famous for the industrial style in Taiwan. If you like this style as well, it’s highly recommended to choose here. The room was clean and quiet. There were so many TV channels include international channels.

PLACE:4/5nn/A beautiful and special inn for tourist. About convenience, this place is nearby the station and the night market. But about safety, that maybe a little bit scary if you came back in the midnight. However, this hotel still great for me, the clerk is good and they provide free snack for everybody lived in here. And if you want, you can order some breakfast by a reasonable price when you do the reservation.

Highly recommend this hotel!!! Rooms are clean and located at the convenient spot near train station. Staffs were friendly and professional.

Place is really nicely done up and unique. and their staffs are friendly and helpful. But they seem to have missed some basic essential quality of a hospitality organization. Their breakfast is already supposed to start later than all other hotels I’ve stayed before (8am), but they are not even ready at 8:25am when I am writing this. Its really bad when not all your customers have the luxury of waiting. Took some hot water from the pot, and there were many tiny wax like objects floating around, making me suspect when was the last time they cleaned the pot. While I was not affected by the noise, there are people from my group who complained about noisy air-con during our stay. What do annoy me is the showering area. My room comes with a bathtub, but without a proper shower space or shower head, only provided with a scoop (a blue plastic cheap looking one). In my opinion, the owner has sacrificed too much comfort and functionality for the sake of modern Nordic style or their view in art of simplicity. I won’t choose this place again for another stay, unless I am traveling alone, and intending to spare 30 minutes for a simple breakfast.
