Tang Te-chang Memorial Park

This is a prime spot in Taiwan but also a forgotten space as it is cut off by heavy traffic on all sides. The small park was built in memory of a martyr during 228 incident who was brutally executed here.

I was passing by, so I didn't see much.

Place is in the middle of Tainan where 7 major streets converge. But is , basically, abandoned...most surprising but in a sad way...obviously the source of political contention connected with 228 and government wanting to not emphasize. Tiny bust of Tang te chang contrasts ironically wirh huge and meaningless statue of some dancing figure in dead center of square. Very odd and why have none of you mentioned this ?
