WaGaLiGong Dulan Surf & SUP House & Bar 哇軋力共都蘭衝浪/立槳/酒吧

Went for a beginner SUP lesson. Due to ocean conditions we supped on Donghe River instead. The instructor is very experienced and provided an amazing experience for us, including taking pictures for everyone. Going in, I thought we were only going to stay on the water, but we also hiked over some rocks and had some snacks before heading back. The vibe was chill and relaxing. Overall we had a great time. Highly recommend.

6 stars! Such a great time didn't want to come home. Yong-Yi was an awesome guide for the SUP tour (2 adults and an 8 year old). Definitely worth it! The next day we did a family surf lesson. Mark is an awesome teacher and definitely knows what he's doing! The safety lesson felt world class and a must know for any aspiring surfers!! Will definitely be back, and would recommend anyone in Dulan, hit these guys up and have a fun, safe time!!

My favorite budget hostel to stay whenever we are in Dulan. A friendly place to meet people, just hang around, or learn SUP/surfing! Love that rooftop, also once a while a beach camp fire gathering with other backpackers where we sang, laughed or just enjoyed life of Taitung. Totally recommended!

We had a wonderful surf lesson with WaGaLiGong. My daughter is 6 years old and she was able to stand (a lot) and surf on her first lesson! Mark is great teaching young kids -- in English and Mandarin!

Best surfing instructors. If they can teach me, they can teach you! I tried surfing eons ago in Florida by following my surfer friends. They tried to help me with tips and all. But I spent the day fighting the waves and worn myself out. It didn’t work and I got frustrated. So I was a bit nervous this year when boys trip have surfing on agenda at Taitung. A typhoon was about to hit Japan and the waves was even bigger. Good that Mark and his team structured their lesson very well. He started by explaining the geography of the beach, and the waves and channels that formed a system, so we knew how to handle ourselves, and there was no need to panic, in case something happened. Then he explained the physical techniques involved. Finally we practiced with him and his team of instructors. The whole time I felt safe and was progressing. And they are such cool people! It was a very enjoyable experience. I highly recommend that you look up these guys if you are thinking about surfing in this area.
