Dawu Seaview Trail

Short walk through the forest with amazing view of the ocean. The road is well maintained and easy to walk. Not much of a climb too.

Nice views of the Pacific Ocean

The Dawu Guanhai Trail is about 1.2 kilometers long and climbs 55 meters. It doesn't take long to see the entrance from the Taiwan No. 9 crossroad. The entrance has north and south ends, and the distance is only about 200 meters. Therefore, no matter which entrance you start from, In the end, you can make a circle and return to the origin. If you drive, you can stop to the parking lot in front of the Forest Service Bureau's Dawu Workstation, and you can park about 10 vehicles. After entering from the north entrance of the Dawu Workstation, the scenery slowly changes from the woods to the sea view. After walking about 400 meters, you arrive at an observation platform with a wide view. It is the most suitable place for viewing Dawu Creek and the Pacific Ocean. About 300 meters after the platform, you will reach the highest point, but there is no prospect in the forest. Finally, follow the boardwalk down to the south exit, and then you can walk back to the parking place of Dawu workstation.

The trail is not long, but you can walk up to about 50 steps from Dawu Street to the south entrance of the trail (because you didn’t complete the journey, the exact location of the north intersection is not very clear). Walking on the trail, you can overlook the endless Pacific Ocean (there is an observation deck along the trail), and it is super close to the 9th line of Taiwan. It is a good place to watch the sea and see the sunrise.
