Shan Yue hot spring hotel

Excellent service, friendly receptionist. Shower amenities all provided. Breakfast average. Wooden plank floor outside scary, looks brittle. Soak in hot or cold water with their powder for scent and that's it. Comfortable beds but who knows what else happened there. Remote but they have a restaurant.

It’s NOT a hot spring resort. The hotel heat the spring water, not the same as the natural sulphur hot spring in the area. Very disappointing. Room service staff is good, gave us fresh towels and toiletries promptly. Room is clean but smell of mildew due to the moisture and lacking working air condition. We had to open the window and door to take fresh air. The hotel needs to advertise honestly that it’s NOT a hot spring hotel and needs to invest some new air conditioner. Reception desk lady was very talkative, we asked one simple question, she went on forever... We live Taiwan and Beitou and plan to visit again soon but will stay at other hotel. This one is also way over priced for the quality. Not worth it!!

I really like this resort - location isn’t the best but because it’s remote, means it’s quiet and peaceful (perfect for couples!). It comes with private hot spring tub which is something I love. Disappointing experience is that I had to move to a different room middle of the night because I could smell smoke from the room next door. I think I recalled somewhere on Agoda stating that the hotel does have a non smoking policy however they do not seem to be able to do anything against guests who did not adhere to the simple rule of non smoking room. Otherwise, the room is clean and spacious - I booked the superior double.

Staff were friendly, though they don’t speak english well. You can tell that they are trying and for someone who don’t speak their language I appreciated that. We stayed at the suite with the private outdoor and indoor spa. The room is spacious with a living room area. The tv can be rotated so you can watch from the living room or from the bed. The tubs can use some scrubbing as they look dirty. The shower head looks so old and rusty. The view from the private terrace is great. We enjoyed our stay.
