The school was formerly a municipal school for the blind and deaf, but it was later changed to "Taipei State School for the Blind and Mute". After the Republic of China took over Taiwan, it was named "Taiwan Provincial Taipei School for the Blind and Mute." It is as follows: Kimura Kimo ►The Republic of China took over the blind and deaf school created before and after Taiwan. The school was formerly known as the Municipal Blind and Deaf School. It was founded in 1917 by Mr. Kimura Kimura, and originally named Kimura Blind and Mute Education Institute. In 1928, the system was changed to "Taipei State School for the Blind and Mute". After the Republic of China took over Taiwan, it was named "Taiwan Provincial Taipei School for the Blind and Mute". In 1962, the school was ordered to change its name to the Taipei Provincial Taipei School for the Deaf. In 1967, Taipei City was reorganized into a municipality and renamed the Taipei City School for the Blind and Deaf. ►The budding school for the deaf and deaf special education In 1975, the government decided to teach the blind and deaf branch for the comprehensive development of special education. It was to choose the former site of the original elementary school in Dunhua North Road, Taipei City. , The blind students of the former municipal blind and deaf school are assigned to this school. After several years of preparation, the new school was completed in August 1993 and moved to school. ►Visually impaired education flourishes The school has experienced 7 principals, and the current principal is Cai Mingcang. The size of the school was originally only elementary school, middle school, and higher vocational colleges; because some students advanced to colleges and universities, the higher vocational colleges were divided into general courses, rehabilitation massage courses in the 79 academic year, and the higher vocational colleges in the 81 academic year The general department was changed to the high school department, and the higher vocational department only set up rehabilitation massage department. In the 83th school year, a class was added for the kindergarten department. In the 89th school year, a class for practical skills was added, which was later renamed as the comprehensive functional class. The teachers and students of the school worked together to win the recognition of the 111 benchmark of Taipei Education in the 98th school year; in the 103th school year, they were awarded the Taipei City Quality School Resource Integration Quality Award.
