Taichung Metropolitan Park

Best place in Taichung to take long walks with pets. Walk ways are spacious and very clean. Only thing that border me is senior folks using parking lots as picnic areas with tables and tents. Hope park management can monitor better.

We like to come here in order to relax. The park is very huge, and there is lots of space for children. The lake hosts fish and ducks, and visitors can enjoy riding a bike, flying a kite, or playing the ball here. The only disadvantage is that within the park there are no food or drinks sold, do you'll have to go out to the perimeter of the park to buy your treats.

It is a good place to take a walk. Park is relatively big. There is a place to do a physical exercise. The only thing I missed was that the pond was dry due to the season. i am looking forward to see the pond again when the water is full.

This is a large county-wide park on a hill outside of the city. There is roadside parking available, approximately 30NT per hour. The county keeps the grass and trees trimmed and neat looking. There is a large scenic lake with ducks and fish you can feed. There are clearly marked bike and walking trails for everyone. In the middle of the park is a large green field for playing around on. You can bring dogs. There is a souvenir shop with t-shirts, toys, caps etc for kids like bubbles and styrofoam airplanes, etc. There is also a small cafe that sells snacks, coffee, ice cream, hot dogs and other things for reasonable prices. If you go in the evening bring mosquito repellent. During the day bring sun block, sunglasses, caps etc. Families with children as well as singles will like it in addition to senior citizens. You will see all ages here. The city bus does come here but check the schedule. If you're driving here the easiest way is to take Xitun Road all the way straight to the top and go right at the fork. Very enjoyable park with numerous scenic views.

Great park, very safe and well maintained. Been coming here for years. My kids are enjoying practicing their home bike riding in the varied terrain.
