Qixing Park

Wonderful write up of the history and exhibits. Great place to get close to the culture and history of Taiwan. Japan has once treated this place as her home. Beautiful.

There is a replica station of what originally the Xinbeitou Train Station looked like in appearance. There are models, videos, souvenir staff, etc. inside. Not bad to visit and reminisce on the past!

Interesting small little park besides the MRT station. Recently landscaped and has a small railway exhibit on site, however not much for the kiddies to do here as no playground within the park grounds.

Bei You - a hot spring area, full of people who walk the hill for exercise in weekend. This was the station in old days, not thing to compare the station now, tried to image how it can fit the traffic?! I guess the population is the answer...

Relatively easy to go due to the convinence of “xinbeitou MRT”. The place here is relatively colder than “ximending” (you can feel it once u come out of the MRT). There are also stronger winds which plays a part in the cold weather. When we went there there is a mini bazaar with locals selling “artsy” handmade items such as notebooks, pins and dyed scarfs/shirts. The park has relatively little thing to do except for a olden train that is parked there for people to take photo and a mini heritage building that talks about the heritage of the train.
