Amazing place to be!
The predecessor of Zhongshan Park is Shoufeng Shrine. It is located in Shoufeng Village, the mountain side road behind the administrative unit of Shoufeng Township. This road is the only place to pass through the Shoufeng Township Bicycle Trail and the International Forest Tourist Railway.
During the Japanese Occupation, Shoufeng’s Toyota village was an official immigrant village during the Japanese Occupation. The shrine was built here in the past, with stone lanterns, buildings, torii and other Japanese landscapes. After the restoration, it was completely demolished and converted into Zhongshan Park. At present, only the long The long stone steps are traces of the way of worship in Japanese shrines.
Covering an area of about 3.76 hectares, it was converted into a park to protect the natural environment. The bronze statue of the Father of the Sun can be seen standing on the square. It has an excellent view and overlooks the entire Huadong Rift Valley. The park has driveways, trails, wooden planks, resting pavilions, and camping grounds. The parking lot is a place for local villagers to exercise and relax.
The forest trail was in good condition in the past. There are several pavilions, scenic spots, land parks, and grass squares along the way. It finally leads to Lane 85, Section 7, Zhongshan Road. The road above the trail is broken and there is no maintenance. It is a pity that there is no maintenance. Yeah! (Travel date: 2021.1.16)
A good place to relax, lack of maintenance, broken stairs, overgrown weeds, and good views.
The public department should not be maintaining. I wanted to take the leisure trail on the mountain-round trail, but the overgrown grass made people stop.
I originally thought there was a torii. I saw a bronze statue after going up the stairs, but I made it high so I could admire the passing of the train.
