The Yangming Anatomy Institute was established in 1977 and is affiliated to the Medical College, formerly known as the Institute of Anatomy. The name was changed to the Institute of Anatomy and Cell Biology in the 89th academic year, and the Institute of Anatomy and Cell Biology was renamed in the 96th academic year. The Anatomy Institute is currently divided into two groups: anatomy group and cell biology group. The research field covers traditional morphology as well as modern cell and molecular biology. Anatomy and cell biology are the most basic scientific fields of biomedical research. In recent years, the institute has been actively engaged in the research of anatomy and cell biology, and integrated modern molecular biology, genetic science and proteomics as the most important research field.
