Datunshan West Peak

This peak is on a trail, from MianTianPing to Datun main peak passing also Datun South peak. It's part of the Taipei Grand Hike. The trail is not for everyone because it is sometimes steep, with ropes, and at some point, the forest and shade are home to a lot of humidity and it's especially muddy, even during sunny days. Still, the peak offers some beautiful views on the surrounding area, especially Taipei, Damshui's bay, Mt Guanyin and neighbor summits.

Climbing this peak and the South peak will require using the rope to get through the slippery muddy slope. Make sure you come on a dry day.

You have to see and hike it so you yourself will experienced the challenging rope climb with rocks and mud. I love it
