Cavemen Hostel

Nice place to stay overnight in Taipei Nearby Taipei main station and surrounding with lots of place to do shopping, department store and restaurant. Staffs are not on service 24 hr. Nice public space. The share bathroom is a bit small. The bed is not all covered with the curtain. The bedsheet and blanket are pretty old and not warm enough during the night

Conveniently located. Comfortable bedding. Lounge area is spacious. Lots of cafes around.

I like this place for multiple reasons. It’s nicely located and because it’s on the 7th floor you don’t get any street noise in the room. The staff is quite accommodating and generally very nice. You get proper mattresses in bunk beds and no mould smell (the opposite is quite common in Taipei). Rooms could be a bit cooler tho and magnetic doors could be a bit quieter to close.

Clean, kind, everything was awesome... Except you couldn't tell me before I paid for the room that you would be shutting off the water from 8-10am? If I'd know that I could have booked elsewhere, where I could actually get ready on time.

Repost as my review wasn't published 6 months ago, have receipt which shown that I stayed here in February but not randomly give a review. Woke up in the middle of the night by the cracking of bed frame sound. Approach the receptionist and all she said was: "Of course there will be sound, maybe you are a light sleeper." I have stayed in many hostels & this is the first time I've encountered such situation. Notice pasted on the bathroom wall stating that no usage of hair dryer from 1am to 7am yet it can be heard at 1.38am. Please do not tell me that there was a distance between reception & bathroom so receptionist cannot hear. The same receptionist was sitting at the reception playing her phone game instead of doing her duty by patronizing the hostel to make sure everything was okay.
