新竹國賓大飯店 AMBASSADOR HOTEL Hsinchu

I guess I have to say I had high hopes for the place, but it really wasn't as good as expected, the atmosphere is good but bit crowded, seats and tables are very close to each other, the dishes are well displayed, but food is mediocre,I tried all the main courses that they offered, but only manage to finish two out of all five, just couldn't bear to swallow another bite, the chefs handel eastern dishes well, but still lack finesse for western ones , on the bright side though I like the fact that services come by very often to pick up empty dishes and the checks are picked up.

Great ambient and food whether you are there for a dinner, lunch or afternoon tea.. always a happy experience!

Promenade is a wonderful restaurant. Very creative cooks and never get tired of inventing new creations. Styles are seldom repetitive so everytime you go there it's a new gourmet adventure.

Staff need better training. I had a buffet dinner and was making my way to the payment counter, which used to be at the.main entrance, an overweight waitress, who was probably to lazy to follow me to the entrance started raising her voice to let me know the payment is actually in the middle.of the dining hall? It was an awkward walk back into the restaurant where diners were wondering if I was planning to leave without paying. Very poor form, but hey its a small city.and a small hotel chain, what can one expect. Never going back. Food has never changed much over the years plus with Covid who does buffets anyway. Truly a regretful waste of time and money. I have only myself to blame for making a poor decision.

Nice place to stay. Staffs are polite. Good mattress quality, bathroom and air conditioner. But the bureakfast buffet is over rated. And maybe because od my halal meal preference, I don't have many options. Overall, this hotel is amazing.
