Emperor Spa

One of my favorite hot springs in Taipei. It has 3 types of places: nude female, nude male, and swimsuits which is family friendly. You can go first to the restaurant and buy tickets for the price of 400NT, then you can cover your spa’s cost which is 250NT otherwise. Then you can buy food for the price of 400NT which is a good deal. Rice porridge is the most famous dish there. I highly recommend to order duck dish and spiral buns.

Hot springs is one of the must-dos in Taiwan, especially when you are so close to many in Taipei. This one comes with a nice SPA and in a very traditional style. I love the ambience and decor, while the bathing helped me relax and recover. It was a little far to travel, but definitely worth the time and effort it took to get there. Try spending a weekend there and you will feel the impact of great hot springs.

A very nice public bath not far from Taipei. When you are trying to escape from the business of the city, this is a perfect place. It is not very expensive and quite accessible from the city, given that the place seems to be in complete nature. The natural sources contain sulfur, known to be good for the skin and for the nose (hope you are not disturbed though!). There are different temperatures of bath, so you can alternate. When I went there with a friend, it was raining, but it was not disturbing to receive a bit of freshness on the head while enjoying the heat of the bath. It also gave a nice atmosphere to the place. It is quite crowded but you will normally find some room to sit in the baths. The taiwanese are very respectful and the whole place is calm.

Wonderful healing hot spring water. Outdoor nude public pool atmosphere brings you back closer to the nature. Bathroom was clean but needs some revamped job.

Amazing place with wonderful hot spring and good foods. However you really need spend some times on stay in the line and to be patient. But it all deserved it.
