EDIT -- UPDATE Refund received after 44 days. Order placed whereby the order was cancelled upon my request due to COVID-19 shipping restrictions. I was not notified of the situation either until I had queried into the delay for processing the order. 25 days have elapsed and my payment has yet to be refunded. 10/10 It is extremely rare for me to give a 10/10 rating to any place but I cannot think of any place that deserves this rating more than Oak Room. The Oak Room is hands down, the best menswear store in the world that I have ever had the pleasure to visit. If you ever find yourself in Taipei, this place deserves a visit by itself. Even from the outside, the softly lit interior and an impressive wall stacked from floor to ceiling with classic leather shoes is quick to draw one's attention. Upon stepping into the store, one is immediately met with a wide open space, luxurious interior decor and a wide array of curated menswear goodies. The service was nothing short of impeccable. I was given fantastic fitting advice and patiently taken through the process of being fitted with about a dozen shoes. All throughout, I did even not feel the slightest bit pressured to commit to a purchase. The salesperson remained genuine, interested and friendly throughout. The company in itself was absolutely delightful - we had a marvellous discussion about menswear and shoes over some cake (I even had the pleasure of a quick shoe shine tutorial by Steve before I left the store). The store stocks carefully curated artisanal menswear products as well as a dazzling array of leather shoes from G&G to Alden. It is far too easy to get lost in the midst of all the wondrous goods and lose track of time. Any menswear enthusiast would surely not want to give this store a miss. Should you find yourself in this store, I highly recommend looking for Steve. His service is absolutely top notch!

Zhongshan store, the most famous luxury men's shoes store in Taipei. There are handling such as Alden, John lob, Crockett & Jones. Despite being a luxury store, the kind and frank customer service. By narrowing down the brands we handle, we have a wide selection of brands. There are about 15 types in Alden alone, which is a little cheaper than regular stores and department stores in Japan. In particular, OAKroom model Alden shoes are cheaper. It is said that Taiwan has a low tariff of 5%. By the way, as with any brand of shoes, some stores in Japan's Rakuten market are cheaper. It's cheaper than the main store site in the US, so it's unclear what the route is.
