In 1898, Chen Lu, who lived in Xiaoshuxi, went to the new building hospital to treat the disease and decided to pass on the gospel of the Lord Jesus to his hometown. So I evangelized while working, Huang Shuijia (Tainan Anshun Head) in February 1899 and at the New Building Hospital. Borrowing Zhuang Zai’s fishing line in Yingding Village, Xiaoling, invited the Xu Chaoyang Missionary of the Madou Church to host the meeting and set up the first Christian church in Beimen County, “Xiaolong Taiwan Christ Presbyterian Church”. On Sundays, the students of God were invited to worship, and the number of gatherings was about 30. In April 1907, the first chapel was built in the current Jinxue Road Power Company and its open space on the west side. The chapel was built by the missionary pastor Gan Weilin and the pastor of the Bakker. In 1920, Xiaoling was renamed Jiali, and the name of the church was changed to the Presbyterian Church of Christ. In 1924, Pastor Liao De was appointed as the first resident pastor. In March 1955, it was set up in Wangbu Dao. It should be the predecessor of the current Presbyterian Church. When the mission was established on March 13, 1955, the meeting place was located at No. 25, Zhongxing Village, Jiangjun Township. There are about 70 adults and children. On August 20 of the same year, Liu Mi came to serve as the first pastor, and selected the elders Ding Lianshan, Ding Jiaxiang, and the deacon Huang Qingshan to discuss the church affairs. The preparatory committee was established in March 1957, and the building was completed on September 8 of the same year. It was presented on October 28 of the same year. It can be seen that the building was built in the Republic of China in 46 years (1957). Its pure white appearance is quite eye-catching.
