Backpackers Inn, Taipei

My first ever backpacker stay. Unlike my expection, this is a very clean, tidy and well organized place. The day I left, I saw 2 teenage girls left the place and hopped into a waiting Mercedes, whilst a group of business-attired executives were checking in. This place is good for me, who has just finished my first ever round Taiwan cycling after 9 days of cycling. For change, I get to walk the nearby Peace Park, have tasty local foods, some shopping and ended with some night market sight-seeing too, since the train transportation is just a few blocks away.

I stayed two nights here. The light above my bed didn't work so I told them and I was moved. The first night there was no one else staying in my dorm and the bed was great with a full curtain that enclosed it in its own little space. However the second night there was only availability in a different room. The beds here were horrible! They were bunkbeds with a tiny partition between them. The partition stops less than three quarters of the way down the bed meaning you can see other peoples feet... The partitions are also really low so if you sit up in bed you can see the other people! Furthermore the ladder is in-between the beds so when climbing up you're half way into someone else's bed... Yeah prety weird and uncomfortable. Also due to the low partition if someone has their bedside light on, it shines directly onto you 😞 not ideal. Apart from the bed situation, the facilities are great. A really good communal area with a nice balcony with seats. The kitchen is big and accommodating! It’s also a really good location, right beside a really nice park too. I would stay again but I would ensure I wasn’t staying in the weirdly partitioned bed again.. cause that was really uncomfortable!!!

Not a bad little place. The rooms are small but the bathrooms are big. There's a few cracks and chips of paint but you aren't paying for the Hilton. The staff speak good English and a very helpful so don't be afraid to go to them for any advice. Straight across the road is a beautiful park and museum, as well as an entrance to the MRT.

It is a well thought hostel mainly catering for the customers. It also allows you to feel at home by cooking your own egg and preparing your own breakfast. Make sure to bring your towel, hair brush, tooth brush as these are for sale. I love everything about this hostel as it is very near the NTU mrt station, the clean bed, cr, the free coffee/tea and the lounge area plus the very helpful staffs. Awesome place to stay.

I like the place. It's clean and quiet. The location is also ideal. The breakfast is good. I didn't have a hard time communicating with the staff since they have a good command of English.
