I was asking direction to my boarding gate. Found Ms Angel from the customer service counter staff is very approachable and friendly. Is my first time to Taipei and I left the airport with a good impression.

When paying by credit card in a foreign country, you should never agree to pay in your home currency because the store will give you a worse exchange rate than the bank. We paid by credit card at this store and were told that the transaction could only be made in our home currency. It was a small amount and we were in a hurry so we didn't argue. Later, we saw the fine print on the credit card receipt which stated that we were given a choice between local and home currencies and we chose home currency. And, not surprisingly, the exchange rate was much worse than what the bank offered. This is the level of honesty you can expect from this store.
