Golden Vista Hotel

Perfectly acceptable, (see further down for the positives) the self check-in service didnt work on the computer we first used and when we called the helpline they seemed to know this was a problem. No staff immediately available but when we found them they were very helpful and friendly. I understand the desire to go as automated as possible but this is not a well planned operation, currently it's just acceptable.nI dont know if the hotline speaks English but they were very helpful in Chinese and made it all work for us. Room smelled of smoke but as an ex smoker I didnt care, neither did my lady friend. Sheets were clean, room was fine. Dont expect any extras but it was good for thee price, that's why I'm going for 4 rather than 3 stars.

Don't book there ! We found cockroaches in the room, and when we told the receptionist, she said that it was normal and that they had already put insecticide. Plus, there is dust everywhere, especially under the beds, and it smells really bad. If i could give 0 stars, I would, hotels with cockroaches should be closed down...

Worst hotel/motel ever. Upon getting into the room, there was a distinct smell. The whole place is not functionally designed. Almost wanted to leave immediately, but couldn't find other place at the moment. Would never come back.

Good.

This hotel was not clean and had roaches!
