SPOT - Taipei Film House

Nice and stylish place to have a chat. Lots open space. Price is reasonable. Cinnamon rolls are good.

The former residence of the U.S. ambassador in Taiwan, Spot was founded by director Hou Hsiao Hsien and is a popular place for film lovers. Despite the fairly old theatre and equipment, the film selection is always interesting, with lots of themed retrospectives.nThere's a very nice teahouse and a small movie shop in the building. Charming - a walk out of time .

This building was once the residence of the American Consulate in Taiwan. The snacks and coffee are delicious- stop in the gift shop for some truly unique local finds made by artisans and designers from Taiwan.
