Wonderful museum filled with interesting and visually beautiful exhibits. Very unique displays and sets with cultural information about the area. The building is a masterpiece in itself. Today it was very hot on the fourth floor, but the other floors were cool enough. There is a gift shop and good-sized cafe on the first floor. The parking lot is large but a little walk from the museum.

Outstanding design, like a little tilt brick sink in the ground, but inside space is much bigger than you thought.

Very beautiful museum. I really love the glass that is outside of the building itself. They have a very interesting souvenir shop inside too.

The best museum is Taiwan. The exhibition is widely covered Yilan history, environment from different angle. From top floor to first floor is reflect to mountain, plan and ocean. The admission is $100. Totally worth it. Most of the exhibition are bilingual.

I went to this museum before, but I was only interested in the top floor displaying the fauna and flora of the surrounding area.nWhile I was quietly reading the plaques on exhibits, a woman working for the museum approached my wife and started asking my age, where I am from, and if our parents dislike us being different races, is communication hard, etc.... Iunno what it is with Chinese and feeling like that can ask intrusive personal questions, maybe it is just because they are village bumpkins and don't learn manners.nI looked at other stuff, but the woman kinda soured my experience of the place.nI think they have a section dedicated to the native people too (there's a Native people museum in Taipei too, I think in Beipu), which was cool. I met a native dude before, he was friendly and chill.nI will give this place a higher rating because the architecture is nice and it is in a scenic place.
