Day-Chen Hotel

Me and me Taiwanese girlfriend stayed at this hotel. We knew when we booked it that we were going low budget here little did we know just how low budget.nnFirst issue is that the room is really dark. It does have a window but it's small and overlooks a dank dark alley. The pictures on their website doesn't do it justice and smartly refrains from showing this part of the room.nnThe old guy manning the the front desk came across as snooty and friendly.nnMost disturbingly my girlfriend claims to have a felt a ghost in the room on our first night and while i didn't see anything myself i did notice some odd things about the room.nnLastly i'm fairly sure we were given a different one than the one i booked on their website. A cheaper one than the one that was advertised.nnWhen we stayed there it looked like the better rooms including the one that i had originally booked were being refurbished.nnMy suggestion: Due to unrealistic prices of Yilan hotels fork out the cash and find a nice b&bnin the area. A lot less hassle and better service.

Room given was at the corner where the windows are along the corridor and near the lift . Walls are thin so basically u hear people shouting along the corridor and talk loudly while walking to the lift. But location is excellent. Night market is just outside of the hotel.

Very friendly staff. Clean and spacious. Facilities are old and the breakfast is from McDonald's around the corner.

Very nice Boss and friendly , allow me to assemble my bike inside the premise.

The location is convenient, the room is clean and the price is reasonable.
