Yongle Elementary School was originally the West Campus of Taiping Elementary School. Taiping Elementary School was founded in July 1896 (29 years of the Meiji era) and is one of the oldest national elementary schools in Taipei. In 1930 (Showa 5), ​​the old school building on the west bank was allocated to the newly established Taipei Yongle Public School.nnThe predecessor of Yongle Elementary School was the Taipei Mandarin School, which was founded in July 1896 (29 years of the Meiji era). In November 30, Meiji (1897), it also established the B-students, the predecessor of the public school, and set up a branch in the five chomes of Yongle Town. In 1898 (Meiji 31), the National Language Institute and branch schools were abolished. The school was established in accordance with the rules of the Japanese Emperor’s Decree No. 178 Taiwan Public School and the Order No. 78 Taiwan Public School.
