Yehliu Geopark

This park is stunning!! We totally expected it to be a quick, maybe 1 hr visit to look at some rocks as we travelled around the north, but there is actually so much more. We ended up staying and enjoying ourselves for over 3 hours!nnThere are some really incredible rock formations that you can explore, but there are also views, tropical flowers, hikes along the shoreline, and a particularly great hike up to the top of the rock jutting out into the ocean.nnEven though the experience is great, the crowds can be massive here, and the sun can be very harsh (no shade). I suggest coming in the very early morning when it first opens, as it is nice and cool, and you can get all your Instagram pictures without any worry of crowds. Then, when it starts to get busy, go on the hike, and be amazed with the stunning views of ocean all around.

This is a really cool place to go if you are in the area. The park is full of hoodoo stones and the views are breathtaking. Most of the stones have names and there are places marked where you can stand to get the best picture. The Queen's headstone is iconic to Taiwan but it is said that it will split within the next few years or by the next big earthquake. It is a nice walk and pets are allowed.

I rode a bicycle from Kellung City all the way here! What an adventure! With each turn you absorb more culture! It is very intense! If you gonna do the same really watch the road! It took around 1 hour or more depending on how much you stop to check out the scenery. Some steep parts so make sure your health is up to the challenge. As for the park some interesting rock formations in all shapes and sizes.

Highly recommend, great and special nature monuments, don’t stop only on the monuments area, go along the see view, the fee is only 80 TWD, you can spend easily 2 hours on this great place

Beautiful scenery but some parts are closed and not written before you buy tickets and find out inside and some parts are man made (found out when walking out). The security guard watching the Queens Head was picky with the rules and chose to let some people through the wrong way but not others. Weird but didn't ruin my time I ran back and waited in line twice. Luckily there wasn't much of a line. Worth the perfect picture!
