Taipei Zoo South Station

It is a wonderful experience. While traveling you can observe the city far away. Traveling above the canopies of the trees is a unforgettable experience..If you visit Taiwan this is one of the most essential experience you must gain.

Take the inexpensive zoo bus train shuttle to this station. Remember to get your hand stamped to show you already paid entry to the zoo! Try to get a glass bottom gondola. A wonderful trip for the children to see the mountain views. At the top, we enjoyed lunch at the teahouses and some snacks for dessert after. We then took the gondola back down and returned to the complete our journey of the zoo from the top down. There were signs that said if we had paid with our Easycard to for the zoo entrance, we could have had a discount on the gondola ticket too so do check if this discount is available.

Taking the Maokong Gondola from the Taipei Zoo station to Maokong is a really peaceful journey - for an incredible price! It is the perfect way to unwind and after some tea and snacks from the tea house, it is usually easier to take one of the many buses back down.
