Ita Thao Visitor Center

One of the three stops on the Sun Moon Lake shuttle boat, Ita Thao Pier is both lovely and amusing to explore. From this dock, you can easily access to a couple of significant Sun Moon Lake Locations. Here you'll discover the ropeway, the lakeside trail, and the visitors center. The village surrounding the pier has a great night market and an endless variety of restaurants. Ita Thao Gazebo is one of the most popular symbols of Sun Moon Lake.

The Ita Thao village has its own history and does only have about 1000 people left in the tribe. They are famous for the aboriginal culture which one can admire upon paying a visit to this very small town. There is also a cable car ride that takes you to the aboriginal village which is a place to study and enjoy how it got this name. Take a boat ride from Shuishe pier and also enjoy the breathtaking views of the nature, with the mountains that surrounds the lake itself and the majestic wenwu temple and a cool walk on the pier.
