I have been working at the Odessa VET Center as a Methodist for 11 years. During this time, the school developed step by step. Today, it is a leading multidisciplinary educational institution that provides initial training of skilled, competitive workers in 29 professions of construction, installation and repair and construction; catering; service areas; agricultural direction; electrical production; road transport and general professions for all sectors of the economy, as well as conducts vocational training, advanced training of skilled workers, retraining of students from the unemployed. Odessa Vocational Training Center has three territories (Zabolotnoho St., 9; Paustovskoho St., 12; Ovidiopol township) and dormitories. Research and experimental work is carried out, for 3 years the institution has implemented an educational experiment of all-Ukrainian level on the availability of educational space for students with hearing impairments, there is an office of correctional and developmental work. On the basis of the Center, 8 educational and practical centers for the latest technologies, materials, modern equipment and techniques have been established and are working fruitfully, where students can learn new skills, and adults can undergo advanced training or retraining. In addition to practical classes with masters, students undergo internships at enterprises in the region. In total, the Odessa VET Center has more than 30 business partners. Teachers are constantly improving their skills, undergoing internships abroad. OCPTO also cooperates with leading companies and participates in All-Ukrainian and international projects, exhibitions, competitions, where students have repeatedly won prizes. In our educational institution all conditions are created for acquisition not only of theoretical knowledge and practical skills of the future profession, but also comprehensive development of the person, realization of creative abilities of everyone. It is guaranteed, employment in the state and temporary motor enterprises on repair and service of motor transport. Today, this profession is breaking all records for popularity. For their repair and maintenance, highly qualified specialists trained by the Odessa VET Center are needed. Students receive an integrated profession "Locksmith for the repair of wheeled vehicles; electric welder of manual welding ". An electric welder is one of the most important, because no matter how perfect the tools are, you will always need a person with "smart hands". We have all the conditions to train such specialists. On the basis of the Center the educational and practical center of welding is created. Highly qualified welders are trained on Fronius equipment. Semi-automatic, argon arc and manual arc welding, multisystem capabilities (MIG / MAG, TIG DC, MMA), reliability of protection and safety when welding on Fronius machines, as well as many functions of TIG, MMA, MIG / MAG welding can be performed on one power supply. which facilitate learning. This is all very important for our students studying welding.
