As far as I know, it is the largest Buddhist temple in size and equipment, outside of Vietnam. The territory of the pagoda, though located in the center of the industrial area with gray empty shops, looks wonderful and very well-groomed. Everyone who happens to be inside the temple complex will be pleasantly surprised. To be honest, to really see everything may not be enough for a whole day. The only drawback of this amazing place is the strict admission regime and very rare open days, which is generally due to the high degree of isolation of the Vietnamese diaspora which built this little miracle.

Tell me. How can you get there for viewing? 3 ordinary people. What is needed for this.

It is probably the largest Vietnamese Buddhist pagoda in Europe, but is closed to non-Vietnamese members. A courteous security guard will talk about the repair, but the announcement of the construction work hangs from the first day the pagoda opens. It is possible to get inside only through all sorts of connections, I have not been able to do so since 2010. Photo - my friend Vladimir K.

Temple Chuk Lam is one of the most unusual sights of Kharkov. It was built in 2007 at the initiative of the city of Vietnam. It should be noted that this is the largest Buddhist temple complex in Europe, the area of which is a whole hectare. The full name of the building is “Chuk Lam Kharkov”, it is translated from the Vietnamese language as “bamboo forest”. Among the main attractions of the Chuk Lam complex are a magnificent pagoda with a height of 35 meters, a 15-meter gate with an original ornament, as well as a bronze bell, with the help of which parishioners drive away evil spirits. There are also statues of various patrons of Vietnamese Buddhism, among which the leader of socialist Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh, is listed. Offerings are often put to his image - sausage, vodka and counterfeit dollars. According to Vietnamese traditions, a person making such offerings will soon gain fame and fortune.
