Ordered sushi at 18:35, promised to cook at 20:20. Orders were not delivered, the handset was not taken. For the first time faced with such ((( P.S. Sushi was still delivered, though at 21:15, but it was no longer relevant. The next day they called and apologized. In such cases, I believe that it is necessary to warn about the delay of the order.

40 minutes before the end of the working day (20:20) they did not agree to accept the order. Instead, another institution accepted the order and agreed to issue it at 9:15 p.m., and no problems arose. Updated answer: In this case, answer normally by phone, justify your refusal at least by explaining why you can not accept the order. Because the usual "We can't because we have a working day until 21.00" doesn't sound like that at 20.20 in the evening and doesn't justify you at all as an institution and a person who says it over the phone. There is a question of expediency of your work till 21.00 at that after 20.00 you do not accept the order any more - you say "We can't, because orders are already planned" or something such.
