What distinguishes us: 1. Interdisciplinary approach: The conditionality of the division of natural sciences becomes especially noticeable when it comes to modern technologies. Biosensors, metamaterials, electronic analyzers, nanoparticles in medicine, the search for new drugs, modeling the work of proteins - the development of such scientific wonders requires going beyond the traditional specialty of a physicist, chemist or biologist. Our goal is to train specialists with a broader outlook, by supplementing the traditional profile education in the chosen specialty with knowledge of related natural sciences. Our bachelor's students receive basic education in the chosen specialty at the profile faculties, while the teachers of IWT provide an interdisciplinary component, as well as the necessary mathematical training. 2. World-class research: IVT has close partnerships with institutes of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (VE Lashkarev Institute of Semiconductor Physics, Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics, Institute of Inorganic Chemistry), with domestic high-tech companies (Ukrorgsintez, Enamine), as well as with IN research institutes. de Lyon, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Cambridge University). Many IWT employees are well-known researchers in the world, have many years of experience in research and teaching abroad, their work has been awarded prestigious domestic and international awards. Performing bachelor's or master's theses, students have the opportunity to join research at the forefront of modern science, internships in foreign research centers. 3. Student orientation: Small academic groups (10-15 students), monthly informal student meetings with the management of the institute, flexible individual curricula, optional classes at the request of students, employment assistance - all this is our daily practice, which contributes to the individual approach to learning.
