Augustin

Tasty beer brewed in house. Tried a couple which were nice. Some of them are brewed seasonally so aren't always available, but then you know the ingredients will be fresh. :)

Avgustin is a nice beer restaurant in the very center of Poltava where you can come to have a fairly good, locally brewed beer, although it's not always as good as you'd expect. However, if you plan to meet with friends or to watch football, it's an appropriate place. Besides beer you can order soups, salads, onion rings, burgers, stakes, grilled meat and a choice of desserts like apple strudel.

None of the waiters speaks English. They offered us no help while choosing our food. The menu was in Russian, we used Google translate to understand something.

The place looks nice, nice music, nice atmosphere. They may have great options of food, but after 15 mins of Google translate on their Russian-only menu I had to go with the borsch. Which was tasty. Still some annoyance in not getting any help on the menu.
